The Krupnick Firm (“Krupnick Firm”) is investigating claims against Laidlaw & Company, a securities brokerage firm that provides investment banking and securities brokerage services nationally. Krupnick Firm is interested in speaking with customers of Laidlaw & Company who have lost money in their investments.


Krupnick Firm Law filed a complaint against Laidlaw & Company involving the conduct of associated persons resulting from the alleged churning, unsuitability, misrepresentations and over-concentration in private placements recommended by Laidlaw & Company to one of Krupnick Firm’s clients. The matter remains unresolved.


FINRA has fined Laidlaw & Company for failing to oversee its financial advisors’ sales practices among other causes of action, some who have been the subject of customer complaints, judgments, liens, or regulatory events which can be found on the FINRA Broker-Check system.


Brokers, financial advisers, and associated persons are mandated by regulation to only recommend investments that match their clients’ needs and goals.  Securities brokerage firms have a regulatory and legal obligation to properly supervise the sales practices and client interactions of their financial advisors and stockbrokers. In certain cases, securities firms may be liable to customers when supervisors fail to follow regulations  which ultimately lead to financial losses for customers.
